How do I reset my Password?

Please ensure that you are going to the correct web links

https://gms.thebigword.com/ for translation (TMS, LD), Review,  IMS telephone interpreting and most none Ministry of Justice (MOJ) interpreting work

https://thebigword.ims.direct/ for (Ministry of Justice) MOJ interpreting work, DWP, NYCDE and some clients that have been migrated to this newer system

Both systems are independent, they may use different log in details (Username / Password)

If you need to switch from one system to the other, ensure that you either log off first, or close the browser completely, or use separate browsers for each system.

How do I reset my GMS Password (Linguist)?

  1. Navigate to https://gms.thebigword.com/
  2. Click "Reset password"
  3. Insert the Linguist code (P-Code)   address associated with your GMS account into the Username box,  leave the client code box empty
  4. Click "Request Password Reset"

How do I reset my GMS Password (Client)?

  1. Navigate to https://gms.thebigword.com/
  2. Click "Reset password"
  3. Insert the Client code into the Client Code box   and your  username into the Username box that is associated with your GMS account
  4. Click "Request Password Reset"

How do I reset my IMS Direct Password (Linguist)?

  1. Navigate to https://thebigword.ims.direct/
  2. Click "Reset password"
  3. Insert your Linguist code (P-Code) into Username box that is associated with your IMS-D account,   do not put anything into the Client Code box
  4. Click "Request Password Reset"
  5. If it does not send a Password reset email link, then  try using your email address instead of your Linguist code (P-Code) 

 

How do I reset my IMS Direct Password (Client)?

  1. Navigate to https://thebigword.ims.direct/
  2. Click "Reset password"
  3. Insert your email address into the username box,  do not put anything into the Client Code box
  4. Click "Request Password Reset"

 

When you receive the password reset email,   if the link is not clickable, then  highlight the link text,  include the  HTTP  and all the  random looking letters,  copy  (CTRL +C  or Right Click -Copy)  then paste into the address bar at the top of your web browser. 

**Never allow the browser to store the password for either web portal, always type it in.
